04For parents
The questions every parent should ask.
Volleyball BC tells families to ask these before choosing a club. Here's where we stand.
Who actually coaches my kid?
Every team will have a named coach, posted with their background before tryouts. Pat Hennelly leads the club as President.
What does the season cost, all in?
We'll post one total that includes coach and travel fees, plus what's included and our refund policy, before tryouts.
How much travel is there?
The club season runs December to May, with Provincials in April and May. The tournament list for each age group will be posted with the schedule.
How do you keep kids safe?
Every adult in a position of authority completes a criminal record check, a screening disclosure and Safe Sport training, as Volleyball BC requires. Concerns can go to the Abuse-Free Sport Helpline at 1-888-837-7678.
